Elettrochemical Cell Detectors

This sensor is based on the micro fuel cell technology. It is substantially made of a metallic anode, an electrolyte and a cathode (fig. 1). The latter is exposed to the air through a capillary diffusion barrier. When the gas diffuses through the diffusion barrier and meets the electrolyte, a current , proportional to the gas concentration , is generated.
The electric signal has a linear diagram with a displacement error lower than 0,5% in the worst case .
This sensor is very reliable and has great performances. It has also great resistance to corrosion and it is not influenced by temperature and humidity variations. So the sensor results stable for a long period of time.
This type of sensor has great technical performances, sensitivity, stability, value repeatibility and great gas selectivity above all.
